Category: Oriental Vanilla

Notes: Cacao, vanilla, starfruit, orange

The Bottle: Minimalist silver boringness, as with most of the ‘Comptoir’ bottles. Almost institutional looking, in fact. If I weren’t so in love with the scent, I would pass over this one completely, as the package is more suited to a room spray.

The Scent: Insert Homer Simpson-esque drooling sounds here. Wonderfully rich, like a sinful dessert. The raw, slightly bitter cacao note reins supreme, and is beautifully sweetened by the vanilla and starfruit. In turn, it provides these succulent fruits with beautiful depth and texture. Nicely blended, and not at all the chocolate milk milquetoast scent I was fearing it would be. If this fragrance were a person, we would be married, or at least meeting in the back room on a regular basis.
