Category: Oriental Spicy

Notes: Coriander, pomegranate blossom, jasmine, rose, peach, mandarin orange, mimose, cloves, orange blossom, clover, labdanum, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla, musk, civet, opoponax

The Bottle: Understated elegance, which is to say walks the line between classic and boring. Very traditional lines, immediately recognizable for what it is. The sort of shape you would expect to see on a grandmother’s dresser (if your grandmother is as classy as mine, which she isn’t). ***

The Scent: You want to find a fragrance that makes a statement – that announces your presence to the world. I find that this perfume BLARES your presence. It’s just flat out too strong for me. I realize it’s a classic, but rose is meant to be a delicate, soft presence, not a nasal assault.  If Anais Anais is like being punched by a flower garden, then this is like being spanked by one. No, Darlings, won’t be doing that again (the fragrance. The spanking, no promises). **
