Notes: Raspberry, apricot, orange, bergamot, rose, iris, jasmine, lily of the valley, orris root, sandalwood, tonka bean, cedar, amber.
The Bottle: Melancholic and gothic…. with plastic pigtails. Black roses and a suggestion of violet make it a moody little piece, but cute enough in its own way. Really, one of the only Anna Sui bottles that doesn’t send me into convulsions of over cutesified rage. ****
The Scent: A pleasant lightly citrusy rose, which takes on a powdery, cool iris quality as time passes. Emanates calm and wistful romanticism – a Jane from Pride and Prejudice sort of scent. The dark edge to the packaging leads me to expect something a little deeper and more intricate, but it never reveals itself, at least on my skin. Not one of our greatest hits, but certainly one of Anna Sui’s. ****
